I have just finished reading "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver Relin. Given what is happening with the Taliban in Pakistan lately I think it is a very timely book that everyone should read if you are at all concerned with Global Security. It was a very inspirational book.

The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan
Very interesting book about the food chain from field to table. The first bit about the industrial food chain was disturbing and made me question everything I ate but the middle section about local eating and sustainable farming was inspirational.
